Before you leave: a closing-up-your-home checklist
A checklist that home watch operators hand to seasonal owners a few weeks before they leave. It covers what the owner should do themselves, so the house is set up the way you agreed when you take over.
It saves you calls, and it makes a good leave-behind after a walk-through. It says "us" for your business and carries no Roundwright branding.
What's in it
- A few weeks before: dates, mail, autopay, insurance, the HOA, and a full set of keys and codes.
- Inside, the last few days: the fridge, the thermostat, the water heater, timers and valuables.
- Outside, and on the way out: furniture, gutters, irrigation, the main water and the alarm.
- The settings you agreed, written down for both of you.
- If they'll be away in storm season: their storm plan and a spending limit.
Goes well with
- Walk-through worksheet, where the agreed settings come from
- Lead email, for the next owner who asks
- Every other form, email and checklist on the free resources page
